Effective date: August 21, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Privacy Policy explains how The Shows By Wildeye Pvt. Ltd. ("BxCard," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information through the BxCard mobile application and its backend services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This policy covers two groups of people, and treats them differently because their relationship to BxCard is different:
| Category | What it includes | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), role within your organization | To create and secure your account, and to control what you can see and do |
| Business card scans | Photos of business cards, and the name, job title, company, phone number, and email address extracted from them | This is the core function of the Service: turning a physical card into a usable lead |
| Device contacts | Read and write access to your phone's contacts, used only when you tap "Save" on a scanned lead to add it to your own address book | So a saved lead is reachable from your phone's normal contacts app, not only inside BxCard |
| Calendar | Read and write access to your phone's calendar, used only when you tap the calendar icon on a task to add its due date | So a task deadline appears alongside your other calendar events |
| Photos and documents | Images you choose to upload instead of using the camera directly, and any documents you attach to a lead | Lets you scan from an existing photo or attach supporting files to a deal |
| Payment information | Subscription plan and billing status. Card and payment details are handled directly by Razorpay, our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card number | To manage your subscription |
| Usage data | Scan counts, document counts, login activity, and similar usage metrics tied to your organization's plan | To enforce plan limits and show you your own usage |
| Device identifier | Your device's Android ID, collected only at signup (email/password or Google sign-in) | To prevent a single device from claiming more than one free trial, for example by reinstalling the app and signing up again under a different email or Google account |
| Technical data | IP address and standard server request logs | Security, abuse prevention, and debugging |
We do not collect your device's precise or approximate location, and we do not access your microphone.
Where applicable law requires a stated legal basis, we rely on the following:
When you scan a card, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for optical character recognition (reading the text off the card). Google processes that image only to return the extracted text; under our current API terms it is not used by Google to train its models. BxCard does not otherwise share card photos with any third party. The extracted contact details and the photo are then stored in your organization's BxCard account.
We do not sell your information or your Contacts' information, to anyone, for any purpose. We share data only with the service providers who help us operate the Service, each bound by their own data-handling terms:
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BxCard, our users, or the public.
BxCard's infrastructure and the service providers listed in Section 5 may process and store data outside the country you are located in, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on our processors' own compliance mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable) to protect it in transit and at rest.
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved, including encrypted connections (TLS) between the app and our servers, hashed password storage, role-based access controls within each organization, and strict isolation between organizations' data (Section 8). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users as required by law in the event of a breach affecting their data.
Each organization's leads, contacts, and documents are isolated from every other organization on the platform at the database level. Members of one company cannot see another company's data.
We retain your account and organization's data for as long as the account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. You can deactivate your account at any time from Profile in the app, which suspends access without deleting your data, or permanently delete your account and its data, which is irreversible.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information.
BxCard is a business tool intended for use by working professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, a Contact's company website). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, and encourage you to review their policies independently.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where required by law, notify you directly (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect.
