BxCard Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 21, 2026 · Version 1.0

Prepared for your legal review before publication. Every data category, permission, and third-party processor named below was verified directly against BxCard's source code, not assembled from a generic template. That accuracy doesn't substitute for counsel: have this reviewed by a lawyer before treating it as binding, particularly the sections on cross-border transfer and processing contacts' data, given India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, if you serve users outside India, regimes like the EU/UK GDPR.

This Privacy Policy explains how The Shows By Wildeye Pvt. Ltd. ("BxCard," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information through the BxCard mobile application and its backend services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.Who this policy covers

This policy covers two groups of people, and treats them differently because their relationship to BxCard is different:

We do not collect your device's precise or approximate location, and we do not access your microphone.

3.Our legal basis for processing

Where applicable law requires a stated legal basis, we rely on the following:

4.How business card data is processed

When you scan a card, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for optical character recognition (reading the text off the card). Google processes that image only to return the extracted text; under our current API terms it is not used by Google to train its models. BxCard does not otherwise share card photos with any third party. The extracted contact details and the photo are then stored in your organization's BxCard account.

5.Who we share information with

We do not sell your information or your Contacts' information, to anyone, for any purpose. We share data only with the service providers who help us operate the Service, each bound by their own data-handling terms:

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BxCard, our users, or the public.

6.International data transfers

BxCard's infrastructure and the service providers listed in Section 5 may process and store data outside the country you are located in, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on our processors' own compliance mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable) to protect it in transit and at rest.

7.How we protect information

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved, including encrypted connections (TLS) between the app and our servers, hashed password storage, role-based access controls within each organization, and strict isolation between organizations' data (Section 8). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users as required by law in the event of a breach affecting their data.

8.Data isolation between organizations

Each organization's leads, contacts, and documents are isolated from every other organization on the platform at the database level. Members of one company cannot see another company's data.

9.How long we keep information

We retain your account and organization's data for as long as the account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. You can deactivate your account at any time from Profile in the app, which suspends access without deleting your data, or permanently delete your account and its data, which is irreversible.

10.Your rights, and how to delete your data

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information.

If you're a Contact whose business card was scanned into BxCard by someone else and you'd like your information removed, email us at the address above. Because we are the data processor and not the party that decided to collect your details, we will typically direct the request to the organization that scanned your card, but we are glad to help facilitate it and will respond to confirm the outcome.

11.Children's privacy

BxCard is a business tool intended for use by working professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

12.Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, a Contact's company website). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, and encourage you to review their policies independently.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where required by law, notify you directly (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect.
